Boy Meets Girl: I Want You When I Can't Have You
The 'Boy Meets Girl' arc reaches its conclusion on that romantic paradox so typical of Ataru: only truly wanting someone once he fears losing them for good. Faced with the very real prospect of losing Lum, he's finally forced to confront his deeper feelings, far from his usual shallow gallantry. Lum, for her part, has to decide whether she's ready to forgive, once again, the antics of the man she loves despite everything. This moving finale closes the arc on a bittersweet note, true to the romantic and comic spirit of the whole series.
